Broad-Connect's Instant Messaging solution enables the users to access people and information within their organization more rapidly. Instant Messaging is less intrusive than a phone call, and more immediate than an email. Business users today communicate more efficiently by starting a communications session with an Instant Message, escalating to a phone call, and following up with an email.

When used in conjunction with Presence feature, Broad-Connect's IM provides a powerful tool for users to quickly assess the availability of their colleagues and immediately contact them for quick communications.

Broad-Connect utilizes advanced SIP architecture and an intuitive desktop client to provide Presence capability - the real-time ability to view the status of others within their organization.

Often times an instant message is sufficient to get a quick reply; especially when one party is on the phone assisting a customer. With both parties engaged in an instant message session, coworkers may successfully escalate the instant message session to a phone call without repeatedly trading voicemail or email.

Broad-Connect’s Presence displays real-time availability of others within the organization and visually reflects their status as ringing, engaged on a call, unavailable, or available. Depending on the group's configuration, users can also view who each party is speaking with.
